Sometimes I feel like an old woman who lives in her shoe because I have this disconnect with the outside world. I'm not big on social media, I'd rather spend my time sipping tea in the yard, going for a walk, or reading a book. And I love magazines, ohhh magazines... catalogs, books in print. I guess I am just old fashioned, but there is something comforting about flipping through a good magazine and absorbing all it's pages.
Okay so back to my point. Well I have two points. One is that I'm really trying to make a
genuine effort to blog more. It's just happened recently. I get daily reminders from Valerie's blog EverydayInspired, and I'm also constantly inspired by my sweet friend Kathy's blog PaperPumpkin. She did a post about a recent vacation of hers, and how she meet one of her blog friends along the way, that it got me to clicking and visiting other blogs and I want you to know, that

So I want to know. What are your favorite fashion magazines, catalogs, blogs, websites, etc. that you look to for inspiration each month. What do you subscribe to?! I am a magazine junkie, always have been, but I'm looking for some new inspiration and I'm hoping you can help me find it. What are your favorites? ♥

Thank you so much for your suggestions and for stopping by Valerie! xo!!
Hi Janell! Thank you for the mention and link and for your kindness...always! I am soo not good at jewelry making, but I do love jewelry and love designing some with Mia sometimes for fun! Like you, I have a deep love for real books, magazines, paper pages....but I LOVE to blog. For inspiration, I like Somerset Studio and all of their publications, especially Art Journaling. Have you ever seen Artful Blogging? Check it out at Barnes & Noble! Beautiful photographs are always inspiring. Hugs, kath
I am hopelessly out of the loop when it comes to fashion, and I really have a hard time committing to a blog unless I've made a a connection with the person who writes it. That being said, I make sure I'm always caught up on The Dainty Squid. She's adorable and I enjoy seeing the fun new outfits and photos she posts.
As for the jewelry, I think the point is to make it in whatever way you believe in. If wire drives you crazy, by all means do without! Your jewelry is perfect because it's a reflection of you.
Wire always pulls my arm hair. I mean, I'm kind of a hairy female. Jewelry without a wire would definitely peak my interest!

I love reading A Beautiful Mess, Smile and Wave, and Making it Lovely. It's interesting, none of them inspire me in my crafty way, but in a "try new things" kind of way. Try new makeup. Try new outfits. Try rearranging your room in a way that is new to you. I think that is why I love them so much. They aren't dwelling on the things I do everyday, they are new and interesting to me.
Thank you so much for all your suggestions ladies! Kathy I had forgotten about Somerset, their publications are awesome! And I'm loving all the blog suggestions too, thank you, thank you!!!! :D
