We spent a lot of time this summer, wining and dining, visiting friends, checking out the local festivities and the like, but we never really went anywhere for more than just a day trip, and my mind is feeling the need to get away. It's the last day of August, it's burning in my mind. Where did summer go?
And then as I browse Etsy to put together a collection of beach things,
I came across the print above, and was in awe. Little Frank. He sure does love to run...
{No that painting is not of Frank, but he looks exactly like that
when he runs on the beach, it is so cute!}
David Rogers, the artist of k9artgallery is incredible, if you have a love for dogs of any kind, you should really check out his work. And, if dogs alone aren't enough to steal your heart, maybe the beach will. It's clear that David has a true love for animals, but I think he's got an equal love for nature too...
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Hoping this summer has treated you well...
And cheers to September, here we come!

I don't know - I'd put up with a rough winter to live on the beach. Have y'all talked about this seriously? You love it so, it sounds like your soul needs it!
Cute painting and it sure looks like Frank! I love his work and came across the Tortie print recently too. We've been going to the beach pretty much every week for the past month and I just love it there too. We've even been tossing around the idea of buying a 2nd home over there since unfortunately my hubby can't telecommute for his job. I've picked out several already! The winters can be awful but to see those big waves is amazing especially if looking at them behind your living room window! Hope you have a great weekend Janell!
I agree Sharla, looking at that ocean through a window is perfectly fine! We love to go to the coast during the off season and storm watch, lazily from our room... :)
Someday we could move there, but we're in the same boat, as for now, it's too far away for hubby's work. Maybe someday. I love the idea of getting a townhouse or condo over there too though, being able to go back and forth like that would be wonderful!!
p.s. Yes Erin, we've talked about moving to the coast, a Lot! It's just not something we can do right now, but it's a sure possibility in the next 5-10 years... I just keep dreaming. :)
Love that painting! Hi Janell! I miss the beach so much, ever since my San Fran vacation...i close my eyes and try to hear the sound of the waves...aaaah. It would definitely be wonderful to live along a coast. I had a perfect summer and met most of my summertime dream goals, but I did not go to a movie nor go camping for a day even. Maybe next year! September, here we are! Ack!! Hope you can grab a Getaway. I am looking forward to your fall items and holiday shop, oooh lala.
