Thursday, two days away from my first ever craft show selling soap. I hope I have enough. I hope I have enough variety, I hope I have enough bars to go around... I hope people like what they see. And I hope I can find a set of window shutters tomorrow too!
A few days ago I went to Michael's to pick up a few things, and found these little wooden boxes they call half crates. They are super cute. Think of a wooden crate, but half as deep and half as big in size... yup. I bought 5 of them. They were only $5.99 each, so I didn't feel like I was breaking the bank with them, and they will come to good use, be it for shows, or not, or a mix of the two... but I still feel like I need a good jewelry display. Last minute at that.
I checked Lowe's and Home Depot, but all they sell anymore are the mini blind kinds with draw strings in them, and then the outdoor ones are vinyl. Nothing wood, nothing finished or unfinished. So tomorrow, mom and I are going to do a bit of last minute running around, and see if we can't find a set at the Habitat for Humanity store, or another store like it here in town. *fingers crossed*
Other than that, not much else, just scrambling, feeling overwhelmed, and excited all at the same time. I'm starting to think that I really should do more shows year round too. I don't know if I'm interested in doing weekly shows, like the Saturday market for example... that's a LOT of work to pack up and prepare for all the time, but a show a month or so would probably help me grow my business quite a bit i'm sure. One way or the other, I have monetary goals. So we shall see. One day at a time, right?
Okay friends, back to packing and making and wrapping and boxing and stamping, and you know... all the little detail type things we do, getting ready for shows.
Hope all is well with you and yours. *hugs*

Best of luck to you! I hope you sell out!
Good luck on your shutter quest and craft show!
Good luck and much success on your first show! It always turns out to be so much easier than you thought it would be :) We've been doing shows for about six years now and soap sellers ALWAYS outsell the rest of us!
Have fun!
