The show this weekend was fairly quiet. I think there were more vendors than shoppers most of the time, but I still walked away with $70 in sales, so I can't complain. It's $70 I wouldn't have had otherwise... and it was a good test run type show for me too, considering it was the first show i've ever done selling soap.

Mom took a picture of our table with her camera phone. Sorta foggy, but you can still see how things turned out. And, you might notice I found a set of shutters too!!! I was so excited! We'd been wandering around town on Friday, looking in various places, when a gal at a local boutique suggested we try this new/used door and window shop near by. My aunt had told me about the same place as well, so it caught my attention to hear it twice... So we decided to check it out. Low and behold, they had a set of brand-stinkin'-new shutters just sitting there waiting for me, it was like it was meant to be! Exactly what I was looking for, so I was really excited about that... And, I think considering this was the first show i'd done since this time last year, things turned out fairly well. My mom dyed some glass ornaments with this glass ink stuff, and they turned out so cool!! Next time we'll have lights on the tree... hehee...
Okay friends, back to my day of pretending to relax. Hope all is well with you and yours.

Everything looks great! I did a show this weekend, too. 'Tis the season.
Your set up looks fantastic! Congratulations on the sales!
you did a great job with the setup!
Your table looks wonderful! Good luck on your upcoming shows!
I'm so glad you found some shutters! They make a great display piece/backdrop.
Wish you could have had more traffic for more sales, but I know every little bit helps these day :-)
ooooh Janell the shutters turned out fabulous!! Your table looks lovely!
I'm glad you made some dough at the show! They are so much fun to do, but very tiring at the same time! Get some good rest :)
your table looks great! shows are hard, you never know what kind of traffic you'll get, so any sales are good sales!
Congrats on the fair! The set up looks great. I have some shows that are beyond successful and some that are just kind of blah. I think that is just how it goes. Thankfully, I have more great fairs than not, so it is totally worth it in the end :)
Hey there!
I'm kinda dropping by randomly (& kinda dropping by to hit you with my EC) to tell you about this new selling site I found. It's called ArtFire.com & you should check it out.
It's still really, really new (still in beta) but it's heading in a really good direction! They are already buying advertising online & in print magazines to bring in traffic to the site. (It's already got almost as much traffic as indiepublic.com)
It's got stats for shop views so you know where your customers are coming from! I know! Gasp! Faint! Right? hehe
& it's just $7 a month (for the first 5000 artists) to list & sell as much as you can FOREVER. $7 a month no matter what! I signed up on that alone! haha
Anyhoo, it is new so there aren't zillions of people using it (which is good & bad) but I thought you might want to take a look at it. With the ad campaign they are working on kicking in soon (or so they are saying), I think it's going to be a good place to start listing!
If you sign up, give me a yell & let me know what you think!
Always,
Amy
P.S. The booth looks great! Looks like all your hard work paid off!
It looks terrific! What a great place to go for one stop shopping too! thanks for posting- Basil
