I'd first like to say Happy Veterans day and give thanks to all who have served our country. Young and old. We wouldn't be who we are today, had it not been for those who've fought for our freedom. And though as a country we've had our ups and downs, I have faith and a renewed sense of hope for the months and years to come. ♥That said... it's Tuesday! And... I'm doing my first craft show selling soap this Saturday. I'm totally lost. I have no idea how much to bring. Thank goodness it's a smaller show, only about 20-25 booths, which is great for me, maybe I'll be the only soaper there? I'm planning on bringing jewelry too, but I haven't completely decided how to display it all yet.
Yesterday, Kevin and I went wandering around looking for a pair of wooden shutters. I want shutters because I can slip earring cards into them pretty easily... Little did I know, it's not that easy to find them anymore! Hopefully after this weekend is over, I'll have a bit of extra cash and a bit of extra time to take a little trip and try and find a set at an antique/junk shop or something of the like...
I'm also contemplating changing the look of my photo style in my shop. Blessed be the beautiful lands of Oregon, but they wouldn't be so beautiful if it weren't for all the rain, and my oh my, has the rain come. It'll come and go, off and on, but I'm growing rather tired of waiting for the sun to shine at the exactly right moment, so I can take pictures. I've decided once and for all, I can't be that dependant upon it. At least, not in the winter months. So, we shall see. I shall try a light box today. And you just never know. I may be back tomorrow complaining about it, complaining about the lack of sun... or I might be on to something. We will know with time. Ha!
Okay friends, lots to do these next few days. Hope you are doing well, and talk soon.
♥

Good luck on your first show! For the shutters, if you have a Habitat for Humanity ReStore in your area, that would be a good place to look. They have all kinds of stuff like that.
I use a shutter to hang my necklaces and earrings I shows. I have made hooks to slip through the slats, but same concepts as the earring cards.
I found mine at a garage sale.
If you find them, you'll love using them. They are easy and look great at a craft show.
Good luck this weekend!
Good luck on your show! You are going to do wonderfully!
For shutters, check out Home Depot or Lowe's. They might have them.
I hear you about the weather and photo difficulties (I'm in Vancouver). Six months without sun can certainly slow things down.
Good luck on Saturday! How exciting!
And the shutter idea is a very cute one!
