Gearing up for the Holidays... ♥

It's time to start thinking about the holidays. Well, you should have been thinking about them already... heheee... But it's time to really start getting ready for them. Planning ahead, making new things, stocking up on shipping supplies, etc.

So with that, and with being on a limited budget lately, I took the plunge and ordered some free business cards from VistaPrint. Now, I have to be honest, that I've never ordered from them before, because I've heard enough things about them, not to give them my business... but trying to pinch pennies, and stretch my dollar, I went for it this time.

I still have the same book of checks from when I was married to my ex, with my old last name, and address from another state...haha... so I picked up a book of free checks from Vista (with my NEW last name!! :D), and these cute business cards. Then I chose the 'slow' shipping option, and had them do the back of my cards blank, so they don't say Vista on them... and after that... 250 free business cards with a blank back (that was $3.99) and a book of 25 checks, with shipping... my total came to $13 and some change.

I tell ya. There are always times when spending a little more on things is worth it, but there's also times when we should take advantage of the services that are available to us... and there it is. I ran out of business cards months ago, and I haven't been able to apply for shows myself since we've moved to Oregon either, because my checks are so outdated, that I don't even want to use them. And I don't use them for anything else... But now I'm all set.

So there you go. That's part of getting ready for the holiday rush. Have lots of business cards on hand, because most of your sales will probably be gifts, and gifts with business cards attached could mean new customers!

Alrighty friends. That's all from me, for now. I'm in the mood to be crafty today, so I'm headed back to my table to make things...

Have a great weekend and much love!

I have bought cards from Vista Print a couple of times, and never any difficulty on my end. But then I got the crazy idea to start making my own cards, so that's what I've been doing. I got stampers from Terbearco, and have been using scrap cardstock and scrap cardboard for my cards. It takes much longer than it would to order them on Vista Print, but I love the results. :)

Those cards are lovely! I used Zazzle to do some cards last spring and love them. They aren't cheap but I had a coupon and ordered a lot so I don't think I'll run out before Christmas.

The best cards I've seen in a while were some cut up beer boxes with the shop stamped on it. It fit the personality of the artist to the "T" and were eco friendly :)
